For those guys who’ve already fallen in love with Beirutbeirut, a new Lebanese restaurant has come to town. Especially people from Lebanon living in Munich will jump in the air, when they hear that a Lebanese Snack Bar called “Manouche” has opened its doors. Because Manouche, a small Lebanese pizza, is their favorite food and it comes long before Falafel.

It will be baked with different toppings like Zataar (a herb mixture wild thyme, sesame, Zumack), with two kinds of Lebanese cheese or with minced meat. Then stuffed with fresh herbs, tomatoes, olives and pickles and rolled into paper. That makes it easy to hold it with one hand. A perfect street food and a healthy alternative for those, who are fed up with Leberkässemmel or Döner. It goes very well with black tea or Laban (Lebanese yogurt).

The intention of Khudor, the owner of Beirutbeirut and Manouche, himself a Lebanese who grew up in Munich, was to bring his favorite food to the place he lives. He says, he wants to run a Snack Bar/Cafe, not a restaurant. People should easily and quickly get their food, take a seat or take it with them.

Take the Metro U3/U6 to Implerstraße, get out at the front part of the train, walk down the street to Valleystraße and follow your nose.

My conclusion: eat Manouche for breakfast, lunch or dinner or in between, whenever you like.
