Away from the cliché decoration one is used to see in the average Indian restaurant abroad, this is a cosy, simply decorated restaurant where food plays the main role.
“Matajis kitchen” means “mum’s kitchen” and like at mum’s, the food is delicious, fresh, aromatic, and prepared with care.
The first thing you taste in this Indian restaurant is that all ingredients used are fresh. Many of them are coming directly from the region. Vegetables, meat, herbs and spices: everything gets mixed together, which results in beautiful, delicious creations, like at mum’s!
One of the house specialties is the mango-avocado salad, an amazingly delicious and colourful dish. Except for this, it is very difficult for me to choose a dish, as I like literally everything. I would definitely recommend not to leave the mango lassi out of your order. It is by far the best that I have ever tried in my life – don’t forget to order it, this is a must-taste!
