Dive into a pool which is more than 100 years old! There is no better way to spend some hours of a rainy day in this true warm water oasis, Müller’sches Volksbad. The halls & galleries upon both main pools remember of a glamorous castle. Thanks to social Munich authorities, the price today is still really affordable!
VOLKSBAD: Opened in 1901, the Müller’sches Volksbad was the world’s biggest and most expensive indoor pool location. It should have been an institution for everybody. Since the opening years, the Roman-Irish vapor-bathes are still a part of the this castle-style building.
DON’T FORGET: Bring a book or newspaper to enjoy the relaxing area and enjoy your time! Souvenir-photos can be taken ideally from the balcony above the major pool. It’s still raining cats and dogs, and wanna wait till its over? -> Visit the beautiful “Jugendstil” cafe inside the building, and spend a few more minutes in this nice atmosphere.
This warm water oasis is located alongside the banks of the cold Isar river, and can be reached easily by Tram 16 (Stop: Deutsches Museum) and all S-Bahn lines (Stop: Isartor)
