This is a shop, small, densely packed, up to the ceiling with just two categories of things: miniature cars and miniature trains, old and used. They sell them and they buy them. And this is not one of those dusty places with an unfriendly shopkeeper-collector. No, they are friendly, the things are very well presented and very well looked after—in perfect condition, as far as I can tell, but I’m not a specialist.
So why do I go there? If you played with Matchbox cars as a kid or have a weakness for car design history, you’ll enter a trance in this shop. The miniatures are so lovely, so much more detailed than what you can buy today, it is sheer pleasure. And maybe you are into vintage cars, classic cars, or the younger youngtimers, but the enormous price increase for the real cars has thrown you off track. Here you find them much cheaper and also very neat.
They don’t have an online shop, nothing of what they sell is on the Internet. They have over 5000 items and decided that it’s too much work to put them online. So you have to visit their miniature shop to get one of their miniature items.
