This hip little restaurant is not so simple to find. It’s nestled in the back building of Maximilianstraße 10 (on Falkenturmstrasse) and just steps away from the heavily touristy Platz’l area.
Once you find it, you’ll notice it’s very tiny with only about 5 tables. Don’t embarrass yourself and call for reservations like we did before our first visit. The worst part was the person that passed the phone off – I’m sure because they were hysterically laughing.
In addition to their large variety of upscale burgers, they also serve salads, a wasabi potato salad, and rosemary potato wedges. The food is worth the wait, which at times may be a while, but it is certainly fresh and beats eating at a run of the mill chain.
The restaurant doesn’t only boast decent food, it has even won several design awards. If you’re lucky a table will be free so you can enjoy the ambiance. During the warmer months there are several outdoor tables in the nearby pedestrian zone or you can go for a picnic in the nearby Hofgarten.
Another important note: Cosmogrill has late hours if you need a bite to eat when seemingly everything else in town is closed.
