One of the best things about New York is its incredible Italian food selection. As most of you should know, especially after seeing The Departed, is that New York City was primarily run by Italian immigrants for as long as until recently, relatively speaking.
Carmine’s is one of my favorite places to eat Italian in the theatre district. It’s perfect for frequenting before or after a Broadway show, especially if you have come with a few people or a small group.
This establishment operates as a family style restaurant which means you get big portions and you share with everyone at the table. It’s quite delicious and fun! The atmosphere is always lively, with all the excitement of Broadway and people sharing their impressions of the big stage.
You simply must try the stuffed mushroom appetizer and the Manicotti main dish!
Once you are done with dinner, walk around by the backstage doors, and see if you can spot some of the A list celebrities exiting after the last show for the night! Hugh Jackman – I still have your autograph!!
After you eat, go for a hot night of bowling at Bowlmor, super close and super fun! Nightlife setting with drinks, lights and hot people!
