Fu Run – Lip smackin’ lamb chops

I’ll make this easy for you. Jump on the 7 train, take it all the way out to Flushing, Queens, and memorize these three words: Muslim Lamb Chop. Crispy, spicy, tender, and fatty all in one bite, this is the kind of food I dream about.

If you can, rally a group, because the more friends you bring the more dishes you can try from the massive Northern Chinese menu. A few other highlights from my last visit include a whole fried fish, green bean jelly sheet noodles, tiger salad, and sesame pancakes. The 10 buck pitchers of Bud make me a very happy diner, and you can even pair your meal with a whiskey or a Chinese rice wine if you’re braver than me. When it’s time for dessert, don’t turn your nose up like I usually do at most Chinese joints. The sweet taro dish will blow your mind.

If I still haven’t convinced you, wait until you get the bill. You can feast on a banquet like spread for less than an entree in Manhattan. Case closed.
