Isn’t it nice to find a place where you can have the best of both worlds?
The Shake Shack in Madison Square Park offers you both a beautiful park, a public outdoor relaxation hub, and also a place where you can grab a beer to better enjoy it with.
The park itself is very modern art inspired and the space is only made better with the Shake Shack which brings you delicious snacks, beer and wine.
In fact, the story goes that Shake Shack was just a small cart that was brought in by the park conservancy to help promote art installations and preserve the park. Huge lines formed to get a taste of the delicious recipe. After years of such a following, the Shake Shack opened as a shop by SITE Environmental Design with the intention of making it part of the environment.
Check out their LIVE CAM 🙂 but don’t worry, the line goes quick.
They provide you everything including the tiny plastic wine glasses. So cute. The lines for the food and drink are separate, so you can skip the longer food wait if you just want to grab some drinks.
In the summer, the open air is refreshed by the cool drinks and in the winter the heating lamps give you a refuge from the chills.
Just a few blocks away from Union Square park (subway N/R or 6), any season this small solace in a busy city is just what your tired feet need!
