Prepare to experience theater like you’ve never experienced it before. Sleep No More is hard to explain without giving away multiple surprises. The show is best experienced immersed in secrecy. Located in a 5-story abandoned warehouse dubbed The Mckittrick Hotel, Sleep No More is based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth where the “audience” dons a white mask and walks the grounds in silence allowing the characters to lead them to the next act. It’s like moving freely in a bizarre dream.
Sleep No More is so intricately designed and smartly developed to the point where anywhere you go, your experience is drastically different from the person standing next to you. Don’t expect to go in with a group and stick together. Whilst wearing a white mask, the show has a way of splitting you apart from the group with characters pulling you in for one-on-ones or being temporarily locked in special rooms for more enhanced scenes. Be sure to book the early evening shows in order to experience the show longer.
The only other advice I can give you…wear comfortable shoes.
