Angst is nestled in the heart of a small passageway called Strøget between Torggata and Storgata, quite close to Youngstorget. Unlike Strøget in Copenhagen, Oslo’s version is a little-frequented area that few are likely to run into by chance. It’s a hidden gem.
Though not easy to find, Angst is impossible to miss once you do stumble across it. The outside of the café is decorated in lively colors and figures and, most likely, populated by a number of patrons sitting outside. The space inside is small and comfortable and sports a similarly lively decor. Angst features a number of different drinks to appeal to your mood (or slip you into one), but also has other offerings such as beer, soda and the like to soothe your soul along with the tunes being played.
So the next time you’re strolling along Storgata or Torggata and feel a bit angst-ridden, step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and cozy up in a corner and relax.
