Bamboo serves Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese food – and my obsession for the time being: sushi. They also have some vegetarian dishes, like the veggie spring rolls which are crunchy and tasty. It is just a two minutes detour from my house, and with such delicious food for a nice price, take-away or a quiet dinner on my own is sometimes a more tempting option than cooking.
Bamboo is situated at Sagene, just close to Sagene church. They are known in the neighbourhood for their great and cheap food. The restaurant is small, too small in some people’s opinion – but in my opinion it is cosy. I like the intimate atmosphere, and I like the chairs along the windows so you can watch people passing by.
If you want to combine your trip out of city centre with a little bit of culture, the church is open 12:00 – 20:00 Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
