After having tried their dishes a couple of times via home delivery, I paid Lemongrass a visit since their food types are surely a fresh variety among the rather poor choices of same foods in the Oslo area. And since it tasted way too good I hoped that the live experience would only be better than the takeaway.
I was not disappointed. It is some of the nicest combinations of tastes I’ve ever encountered, sweet, spicy and…well, exotic. Hopefully I get the chance to try all their dishes before they switch to a new menu. Speaking of which, I also like the fact that they do keep a simple menu, with a few items. Few but good!
They offer a nice selection of rums if you ask for a separate drink menu and their cocktails are also a bit different than your usual standards. We had very nice and friendly service as a bonus and it seems like everyone prefers to speak English. Should be quite handy for a tourist.
Two blocks away from the National Theater/Oslo University area, Lemongrass has a very central location and it is also open for lunch, making it for the perfect pit stop while visiting various other tourist attractions in the city.
Lemongrass also offers the possibility to organize events for groups, and it’s probably a good party location since they do have a nicely built indoor Caribbean-like bar. They do organize events themselves, which you can find on the website.
