If you need a peaceful break, maybe meditation is just what you need? These classes are easy to follow, with simple instructions and examples from everyday life that many of us can relate to. I fell in love with these meditation classes after my first visit!
All though this is a Buddhist meditation center, everyone is welcome. The classes often start with a guided relaxing meditation, followed by a practical teaching on some aspect of Buddhist meditation. The session ends with a guided meditation to practice what you just learned. You do not have to be a Buddhist to attend, you are welcome regardless of your beliefs, religion or culture. All you need is an open mind!
The meditation center offers courses, drop-in classes and weekend classes in Oslo. They also arrange Food for Thought evenings, where you have a guided meditation followed by a social evening with a vegetarian dinner. Most classes are in English, some in Norwegian – you will find information on the website about which language each class is held in.
You will find a lot of information on their website, and despite the navigation of the page being in Norwegian, a lot of the information is in English.
