Oslo Vegetarian festival – Vegan food and shopping

More and more people turn vegetarian and vegan for different reasons all over the world, and more and more people discover the vegetarian cuisine not only because they turn vegetarian – but because it has so much delicious food to offer.

If you’re in Oslo May 26th and 27th, you can experience two whole days dedicated to vegetarian and vegan food and lifestyle – cooking classes, lectures, inspiration and of course tasting! Oslo Vegetarian Festival is a rather young festival and was arranged for the first time in 2010.

Cooking classes and lectures will be held in Norwegian, and you can find the program here once it is ready. However, there will be a vegan market hall featuring everything from food, clothes, shoes and natural skin care, to books and fair trade products from around the world. In the market hall, you will also have the opportunity to talk to people from organizations within animal rights, fair trade, vegetarian food producers and vegetarian and vegan associations. There will also be lots of food options – all vegan.

The price is 120 NOK for a day pass, 200 NOK for the two-day pass if you buy your ticket online – all activities included, but food is not included. If you buy at the entrance, the prise is 140 NOK / 250 NOK.

The venue for the festival is Kubaparken (the park Kuba), it is about a 15-minute walk from the city center. Remember to bring cash if you plan to do some shopping.
