Pigalle is one of the clubs in Oslo which really sticks out of the mass, in a positive way. All though they redecorated only a few years back, they have managed to keep the old-fashioned retro style and atmosphere which I love.
I don´t go out dancing much in Oslo, just because there are not many places which play my kind of danceable music. But when I visit Pigalle, I will definitely end up on the dance floor! If you love the 60-70´s and feel like dancing, this is definitely the right place to go!
I love the retro red interior, the big centralized bar, the sitting groups along the walls – and most of all, the round dance floor covered with brass tiles! The music is usually strict 60´ and 70´s, and they have a DJ every Friday and Saturday. It is usually a good mix of different people in different ages. It´s one of the dance floors in Oslo where you won´t feel expired even though you have rounded 30.
If you´re up for fancy drinks, forget this place. If you´re up for a beer, a chat and some happy dancing – this is your best choice! There is no cover charge. Be aware that Pigalle may be closed for private parties from time to time up to 23:00.
