Sunday Market at Blå – Handicrafts & secondhand

This market is pure inspiration for me because I love knitting, crochet work, pearls, steel wire, colorful accessories and funny jewelry. The Sunday market at Blå has it all. Sometimes I come here for new ideas, and sometimes I stumble upon something so charming that I also do some shopping.

Every Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00, you can find designers and crafters who sell their goods both indoors and outdoors. Knitwear, toys, bags, wallets, scarves, jewelry, clothes, ceramics, glass, paintings, purses, homemade soap and moisturizers – you can find many nice things here.

There are also secondhand vendors selling vintage, shoes, bags and clothes, and others selling imported fair trade products like baskets and handbags. The size of the market varies, but this is not a big market to walk around at for hours, rather a small break on your walk along Akerselva (check the Akerselva article).

You can buy coffee and waffles, and sometimes Asian street food is sold here as well. Have a look at their Facebook page, you will find many photos from the market for inspiration for both shopping and for things you can make yourself.
