Located in the back of the old Pharmacy building on St. Olavs plass, you have to know about this place to find it. But once you do find it, you’ll be rewarded with award-winning cocktails and one of the nicest backyards in Oslo.
Through a narrow hallway lies the secluded backyard, an oasis of trees and flowers, lit by colored lightbulbs. The drinks are innovative and tasty, but in my opinion they could work on the names. Fukatini? Oh well, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, I guess that goes for drinks as well. But if you don’t like roses, they have beer too.
If you get hungry from all the booze, the building where author Knut Hamsun wrote “Sult” also houses a gourmet restaurant (Ylajali) and a café (Tekehtopa), both worth a visit.
