Tilt is one of my favorites for a beer when I want some lively surroundings and maybe some games. It is located central in town in what used to be the showers of Torggata bad, which was the first public swimming pool in Oslo.
This is a beer bar with a selection of draught beers, and also a good selection of bottled beers. During my visits I met very well-informed bartenders who let us taste several different kinds of beers before we finally decided for a dark and tasty Erdinger. You can find all kinds of people here from young to mature, and not only game geeks! During weekends they have a DJ, and sometimes they also have concerts.
In a room besides the bar you can find playing machines like the ’90s pinball and other machine games. The fun thing is the Shuffleboards – a game kind of like curling which is played with a puck on a seven meter long table with sand. I managed to understand the rules at 02:00 on a Saturday, meaning it is easy to get it! There are two of them, and you write your name on the board by the bar to play. Note that during weekends this place tends to be crowded. Have fun!
