Vika Kino is a seriously plush cinema. It’s relatively small, with four salons ranging from 292 seats to just 46. That means alongside big budget Hollywood blockbusters, it also shows lots of local films, indie docs, and foreign movies.
The foyer is gorgeous, decked out in classy Nordic design. You can enjoy a drink in the bar, or take your glass with you into the salon. The cinemas themselves are a treat – perfectly clean, somehow there’s no popcorn mess (I had a student job at a cinema and had popcorn nightmares for years), and the cosy red chairs recline to the perfect angle. Each seat has its own little table for your wine.
You can book online in advance and select your seat. The cinema’s liquor licence means children under 18 are only allowed in with a parent.
