Yes, I agree that the view is great from here. Although it was raining and everyone was queuing to enter the exhibition, we could still grab a seat and watch Paris in the rain. April 2012.

Well, the article did say it was opened till 130am, maybe I’m not familiar with the local culture, but when I was there, the kitchen closes at 10pm. Only for the bar, that they opened till 130am.

Visited in April 2012, nice homey feel to the place. Food was good but I’m not local so can’t really comment on the authenticity of the taste. Will still visit this place in the future without a doubt. Good quality for the price.

Sorry not to be able to answer you in Portuguese.
Indeed the nickname “Quartier Latin” also derives from the fact that the different colleges of the University of Paris (the Sorbonne was only one of the numerous colleges, founded later than the University) were located on the Left Bank, and that the students, coming from all Europe, used latin as a European lingua franca of that time, and also a priviledged language for theology (but they spoke their own vernacular language when they did not study).
Since the Left Bank had been the part of the city developed by the Romans (with different ruins of Roman monuments), ‘Quartier Latin’ was a particularly relevant nickname…
