On the other side of the crossroad of the Saint Ouen Market, there is a “brand new” place called La Recyclerie. It is actually a former train station, now used as a meeting spot where one can eat and drink, get their bag of organic products from “La Ruche qui oui”, look at the animals they have in their urban farm or get an old table get fixed or…
Their tables outside are a great spot to enjoy a (gluten free) beer under the sun. It is one of those spots where you can actually enjoy being outside because you are not seated in the middle of a Paris traffic jam.
The place has got this industrial vibe of the station – the rails are still outside, just along their bar/garden/farm. It is quite a place, especially in Paris where there are so many shops and restaurant opening every day that some of them are literally in corridors!
They have more and more a “eco-friendly” vibe with the events they host almost every weekend or even weekday. You will also find second-hand markets, fix-everything workshops or startup market where startups come introduce their products (of course eco-friendly and so on).
