One of my close friends recently moved and wasn’t thrilled by his transition from the lively Pigalle neighbourhood to the 15th arrondissement, but I was, because one of my favourite restaurants is there.
This delicious treat of a restaurant calls my heart whenever I’m nearby for a spot of retail therapy at Beaugrenelle or rue du Commerce. The cosily lit Naturellement serves up a small number of Italian dishes and confidently and interestingly supports them with lesser-known Italian wines (plenty of natural Piemontese wines? Yes please!).
The blackboard on the back wall is the menu – what takes your fancy? A creamy burrata with seasonal vegetables or the pork tenderloin? I was impressed with the bresaola to start, followed by the beef tartare… I think its a dish that’s really difficult to get right! If you don’t have space for dessert – although the panna cotta is divine – don’t forget to close the meal off with some homemade limoncello!
I also have to mention that the service here is truly exceptional; so friendly, attentive and genuine. It’s the cherry on top to a meal – places like this remind me of why I fell in love with Paris in the first place. I am sure everyone is guilty of having accused the 15th arrondissement for being a residential area – full stop – but this restaurant not only proves you wrong, it also makes you want to return again and again.
Thank you, Naturellement!
