I really love this area, including rue des petits carreaux and rue Montorgueil to Montmartre and Etienne Marcel, which is full of restaurants, bars and shops to buy everything from fish to vegetables!! Walking down this street really makes you feel like you are in a village and not in Paris! You can shop and eat, enjoy a coffee at a terrace (during summer) or go to the hairdresser in one street really close by (3D haircut, the first hairdresser I have been going back to since I am a teenager). All without leaving a really small area, which has pedestrian streets only.
All cafés seem to invite you to stop and rest while looking at people coming back and forth doing their groceries. I like enjoying the sun while having a drink, so going there after work during summer is the perfect time for me!
On rue Tiquetonne, one of the intersecting streets there are small designer shops as well as vintage ones.
And if you feel tired and need a massage, there is a Nuxe spa, high quality beauty brand offering massage and beauty care, never a bad idea after a day of shopping in the neigh borough!
