Despite the Marais being a favourite for the tourists that flock to Paris, year after year, I have to admit that it’s one of the most beautiful areas to go for a leisurely stroll. With plenty of independent boutiques and cafes galore, what new spot could have possibly taken my fancy?
Step inside this little store: Sally Bejaoui’s “dépôt vente” store. With dépôt vente, the idea is that owners of beautiful pre-loved items of clothing and accessories can entrust them to the boutique owner to sell as part of her carefully selected collection.
Sally, a newcomer to the scene – but no stranger to the world of fashion – will warmly welcome you into her quirkily decorated store and let you browse quietly if you want, or give you her advice on what might suit you. Remember, if you like something, there’s only one of it in that size so you won’t want to linger over the decision for too long!
What’s great here is that there’s a great mix of mainstream brands such as Vanessa Bruno, designers like Chloé, and independent labels, so there’s something for all tastes. Everything is in great condition and the display is ever-changing so it’ll keep you on your toes.
Definitely worth a browse for your truly Parisian shopping experience!
