Pilsner Urquell beerhouse is one of the oldest spots of its kind in Podgorica. So far, they have branched into two locations, one near the Temple of Christ’s resurrection (Moskovska 105) and the other one in the city centre. This beerhouse is most famous for its wide choice of beer, with the spotlight being of course on amazing Czech beers, Kozel, Pilsner and Starporamen. And happily, for the quality offered, this beerhouse is affordable — both the beer and the food.
When it comes to the choice of food, you won’t go wrong with ordering anything from their menu. They offer many dishes best suited when eaten with beer, with my favourite being the beer plate (sausages wrapped in tasty pastry). Besides that, all meals come in huge portions. I remember I had a lot of issues with eating the whole plate, and trust me, I am a gourmand and I like my portions big.
In both of their beerhouses, live music is very common, especially during the weekends, and they usually play traditional music. Therefore, you get that true feeling of bohemian atmosphere, which you won’t find in many spots in Podgorica.
