Boémia – Home of Porto’s best croissants

Boémia is a coffee house and a restaurant that is mostly known for their croissants. It’s located near the metro stop of Casa da Música, so it’s in a very good position and it’s difficult to miss. Their croissants won the award of TimeOut Porto for the best ones in the city (and they are very proud about that), but since croissants are like natas in Porto (you can find them anywhere) it’s all about personal taste… Everybody has his or her own opinion.

In my humble opinion, the best croissants they make are the chocolate ones. The inside is creamy, the croissant is somewhat undercooked in the middle (oh, the happiness!) and it’s usually warm and appetizing. Those are the best in the city with no doubt. The original one is very good too but for that one I think the race is tied much closer and there isn’t only one champion. It really depends if you prefer them undercooked, more on the sweet side, more neutral, etc.

But if you like chocolate croissants or just think that sounds good… Do yourself a favour, Boémia is waiting for you.
