Casinha Boutique Café is probably one of the loveliest coffeehouses in Porto. If you’re going to see Casa da Música make sure you take a detour to Casinha, since it’s in Avenida da Boavista. (Check the Clubbing at Casa da Música article too!)
Situated in a recently renovated building from the XIX century, it’s beautiful to see that the general aspect was kept and it was just improved. Casinha is full of light, with a very minimalistic decoration but at the same time with a focus on the details. But that is not all; Casinha is one of my favourite cafés because of its outdoor lounge garden. It’s big, comfortable, gorgeous and absolutely perfect for warm days.
Casinha is way more than it seems to be. It’s not only a coffeehouse, it’s also a restaurant and a bar, and it’s open from morning to night – no matter what you want to do, Casinha will be there to welcome you.
In case you’re thinking of going to Casinha to eat, they have multiple options from salads to sandwiches, quiches to savoury crepes. They also have a very good variety of cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, scones… you name it. Even artisanal ice cream is available. And you know the best part? Everything is homemade.
And don’t forget the brunch! For € 10.95 you can try a lot of goodies and completely fall in love with Casinha’s concept (and be completely full!). Then the difficult part will be to return home.
