I always enjoy watching a film on a big screen. However, I think, that contemporary multiplex cinemas suffer from lack of atmosphere, big crowds and a commercial approach. That is why I rather choose to go to the smaller, older and more traditional cinemas. Bio Oko is one of them and it is a good place to experience watching movies in a different style.
You wouldn’t find the classic seats there – every piece of seating, sofas and chairs are just randomly put in front of the screen and it’s up to you to pick out which one you consider the most comfortable. The film selection is quite wide – various genres, older and newer films, but also interesting film festivals are being organized here. Plus, there is also a cafe and bar, so before the film you can order some beer and other drinks or snacks and bring it inside with you. If you happen to be in the other area of the city, there is a sister cinema in Prague 3 called Kino Aero (check out the article) and they are organizing some events and festivals together. Everything that’s left for you to do is sit back, relax and enjoy a nice evening.
