I feel like you can tell almost immediately if you come to a place that has been built out of passion rather than as a mere business concept. Brixton Balls seems like one of these places. Two guys, giving up on their successful careers, completely transforming their lives and putting all their energy into this tiny little bistro. You can see it, feel it and taste it for yourself.
Starting very simply with just a few varieties of meat and veggie balls, they have expanded their menu so you can also try their pasta and pinsa. The balls are served with either pita, rice or mashed potatoes, accompanied with a selection of different sides and toppings.
Don’t be shy to ask them about their story. I was just passing the bistro the other day and the owner waved at me through the window and then opened the door to say hello. We ended up chatting for quite some time and I left feeling like these guys are doing what they love to do. Cheers to that!
