Čestr belongs to the prestigious network of restaurants called Ambiente. They decided to open this restaurant’s premises in the former Federal Assembly building, which is located right next to the National Museum, near the Wenceslas square – so it’s a really good location for a delicious dinner in the middle of the city center.
I love the splendid interior of this restaurant which was designed by Czech architectural studio Najbrt. At the same time all their meals are served on the custom-made designer plates with their own logo of the Czech cows according to the themes of traditional Czech porcelain called “cibulák”.
But the best thing that’s going on here is their excellently prepared meat! I always come here as a part of some festive occasion (due to the slightly higher prices). In a larger group with family or friends it’s the best choice I think! Here you can get the most delectable dishes from Czech cuisine. I definitely recommend and love to order the three-course tasting menu because you can taste something from each dish.
This place is the best choice for you to enjoy real Czech cuisine combined with a modern culinary experience. My personal advice to you is to try the genuine Czech Tartar or Beef sirloin with truffle sauce. And sweet tip for the end, what I love here the most is the best beer ice cream with caramel in the world! And do not forget to wash everything down with a large glass of Czech beer!
