Every time I’m near the Vinohrady neighborhood, I like to get cappuccino in the coffee room. It’s owned by a really nice young barista, who himself drew inspiration from coffee shops in London before opening his business and you can often meet him behind the bar.
What I definitely appreciate is that they serve coffee, not just from local roasters, but primarily from various foreign roasters such as: The Barn, Alchemy, Bonanza. From the interior and the overall atmosphere you can definitely sense a British cafe style. The great thing is that on weekends, you can enjoy both sweet and salty British breakfast here. The pancakes with maple syrup are excellent. They also offer delicious desserts such as cupcakes, apple pie or banana bread. They also sell several cool magazines such as Kinfolk or Cereal, and you can read them in the cafe, or skim through a book about coffee.
Another highlight is that you can try coffee prepared in many different ways such as filtered, aeropress, vacuum pot… For vegans there is no problem to enjoy coffee with soya milk or grab some tea or cascara. What I like about this place is you feel a foreign atmosphere, something I personally like to find during my travels: there’s always something that can surprise me, and by that I mean seasonal specials, like Xmas vanilla hot chocolate with home whipped cream or avocado bread. The cafe is small, so be quick, and grab a seat!
