This is not a place to ponder the meaning of life. EMA means business. You come, you have your morning dosage of coffee and you’re out the door moving on with your daily chores in a more cheerful (read: caffeinated) way. It’s wonderful. Their coffee is top notch but don’t take me wrong, if you are used to having it with a piece of something sweet or perhaps a grilled cheese sandwich, you can have it too!
EMA is furnished in a minimalist utilitarian style. It reminds me of New York’s coffee houses in both its appearance and pace. If you are walking downtown, perhaps in a bit of a rush, not having the leisure to sit and dine around but just need a bit of a kick, come here and you will get a quality one. This is how I know EMA anyway but since wine is also on their menu, I imagine things become more chill in the late afternoon and EMA loosens up on her frantic pace.
