Eska is another Karlín based spot opened a few months ago. Their specialty is nothing more than simple bread.
The space is divided into two separate floors. On the ground floor near the entrance you’ll find a bakery and café with a view of the open kitchen and on the first floor there is a restaurant.
My favorite part is the café with a huge open table that offers delicious pastries and pieces of bread, baked in their own bakery, with different spreads. Go for the egg spread or fresh cheese with radishes, but even just their crispy bread with butter is exceptional as all of the ingredients are fresh. And if you like it you can buy the whole loaf and most of their ingredients as well. If you’re in a rush, just grab one of their ready made sandwiches and eat it outside.
On top of it all fighters for a healthy environment will be satisfied cause Eska tries to produce zero waste, so the waste produced to prepare your food is used further for something else (i.e. milk for kefir,…).
Eska is located opposite the new concert and conference hall Forum Karlín and it is definitely a place not to miss if you wanna go for a perfect Saturday brunch.
