This cinema is one of the oldest cinemas in all of the Czech Republic. In spite of having the “oldest cinema” mark it really doesn’t feel old and is a great place to hang out.
I always go there little earlier to have a beer in the bar next to the projection room, which distinctly shortens the waiting. What I find is a really excellent idea is the so called “Aero naslepo” – each last Tuesday of the month from 20:30 there is a screening of a movie. They don’t announce the name beforehand and if you have already seen it, you can go to the bar and have a beer for free. If not and you stay, you can decide if you pay any admission fee after watching the movie. It’s a great opportunity to discover new movies.
Other great ideas which I like are for example the festival of artistic short films or the Prague movie summer festival.
