Leica Gallery – Small and neat

Some people prefer large gallery halls (such as Galerie Rudolfinum), others would rather visit a smaller, cosier place. If you belong to the latter, there is a place for you to stop by in the very heart of Prague, five minutes’ walk from Václavské náměstí.

Leica Gallery Prague is solely focused on the presentation of photography. They annually organize six to seven exhibitions, presenting world-renowned authors such as Helmut Newton or Anton Corbijn as well as Czech and Slovak artists at the beginning of their carreers.

A considerable added value is entrenched in the gallery café. Many people actually only come to have a cup of coffee or wine, rather than visit the exhibitions themselves. And it is worth it – the decently decorated café room is very spacious and light, yet friendly and comforting. An espresso will cost you some 40 crowns, a fair deal in such a place.
