After an early lunch in ‘U Veverky’ pub (check the U Veverky article) get ready for a trip into the woods! In case you have time, it is worth spending one day outside the city to be motivated even more to spend another day there.
The railway station in Dejvice is ideal for this purpose. You can take a train to many small villages and interesting sites. The railway station itself is actually the oldest in Prague and its history reaches to year 1831. You can get to the station, and to the pub ‘U Veverky’, by metro A, station Hradcanska.
Tip number one – Go to station ‘Nadrazi Veleslavin’ and explore the very beautiful ‘Divoka Sarka‘.
Tip number two – Go to station ‘Hostivice’ and explore the very good brewery in Chyne. Chyne is 2 km walk around the ponds and any local will give you the directions (please, take a map! :-))
Tip number three – Go to station ‘Luzna u Rakovnika’ and do a nice walk through the woods back to station ‘Revnicov’, where you can jump on a train back. Touristic map online is here and for train connections have a look on IDOS.
After you will return to Prague, stop first in the pub at the station, which is so cult is stands for separated article (check the Nadrazka Dejvice pub article).
