I have to admit that as I get older, I’m becoming more thoughtful about the things that I buy, including clothes. Instead of buying fast fashion, I try to buy timeless pieces of clothing that will not only last longer, but which were made with respect to sustainability.
One of my favorite shops which meet these requirements is NILA – a unique place which is at the same time an independent gallery and e-shop. Nila was founded a couple of years ago by Eva Urbanová who quit a successful law career in an international company to pursue her dream of opening a concept store.
At Nila you will find collections of clothes and home decor items from various ethical and “slow fashion” brands like Sweedish Hasbeens, People Tree, Miss Green, Thought, Nkuku, Hubsch and many many more.
From time to time there are special offers: e.g. a very popular one is the “sample sale” where you can get some of the popular items with a nice discount (well, I got two pairs of shoes last time).
Just a few steps from Nila, on Korunní street, you will find NILAkids, a store with the same concept as the main one, but oriented towards children.
