Osteria da Clara is a small non-smoking restaurant specialized in the Tuscany kitchen, located in the quiet part of Vršovice. It can be easily reached by a combination of public transport and a short walk.
The menu in Da Clara could fit into one page (or two) – there are a couple of starters and soups, main courses (“primi” and “secondo”) and desserts. Besides the printed menu, there are always some daily specials written on the boards.
The cuisine is based on fresh and quality ingredients (with respect to the seasonality) and well executed recipes. There is something for everybody on the menu. I recommend trying any of the soups but be careful, it can be considered a main dish! (You can order a half portion if you want). From the regular main dishes, try the meat or fish (fresh fish and sea food is usually served on Wednesdays and Fridays) – it is always accompanied with delicious vegetables. At the end, the tiramisu is a must-eat – of course only if you have still some room for it
.
The prices are quite reasonable given the quality (although they went higher in time); a glass of basic (but drinkable) wine is from CZK 42.00. Since Da Clara has gained a lot of popularity among locals. I strongly recommend making a reservation.

Dear Nicola,
thank you for your feedback, I´m glad you liked Osteria! Speaking about hidden treasures – that´s exactly what I´m looking for when I´m travelling – makes me feel that I´m really discovering the city as it is in reality.
Nice review Katerina,I was impressed by the Osteria when visiting Prague. Not the sort of place you’ll find, unless you happen to be away from the centre and tourist area,so your blog helps people discover these hidden treasures.Loved the mussel soup and pasta with sea food, but it all looked very interesting and reminded me of Tuscany.
Dear Marianne,
thanks for your nice feedback, hopefully you will have a chance to visit some of the spots including Osteria within your next visit!
Katerina, If only I had read this review last week, I would certainly have eaten here. Especially the non-smoking is very attractive and the small and big portions. I have noted down the address in my “what to do next time when I am in Prague”. I will come back to your blag regularly because I like your articles.
