I am usually not a big fan of teas but the weather is getting colder and colder and it would not be fair to hide this wonderful spot from you. What I like is to get a simple Bancha tea and browse in their meal menu until my table is full!

Tearoom Bílý Jeřáb (White Crane) used to be located on the other side of the street in a cellar, but I like the more fresh and airy atmosphere of the new location. The building is just a few meters further from the street center then other buildings, and the reason was…the architect in the first half of 20th century already counted on higher car traffic! You might see more examples all over the city.

The meals are vegetarian, quite tiny, but very tasty, and mostly inspired by Japanese and Asian cuisine or simply by teas. I recommend to try Crème brûlée Earl Grey, very interesting variation! Everything is prepared from fresh ingredients and they also prepare home-made desserts. A daily menu is also available. Enjoy and relax before hitting the city center or walking to closeby Kinského garden!
