On the borders of the art nouveau centre, Kr. Valdemara street and two boulevards, is Kronvalda Park. This is, in my opinion, the most picturesque and richest park in town. Riga’s City Canal flows through it, so in summer it is possible to take a boat or a water bicycle to get another view of the ordinary sights.
This park is a perfect place for leisure walks, recreation with children on a playground, riding bicycles or roller skates, because it is equipped with necessary tracks and different other activities. The territory of the Kronvalda Park covers 11 ha.
If you feel curious enough, have a stroll in this park and try to find the piece of the Berlin Wall which commemorates the fall of it. The park is also worth a visit in the evening, because the lights over the bridges and their reflection in the water, the fountain and light of the lanterns make everything different.
