Pagalms is a lovely spot located behind the Latvian National Theatre that will be the perfect place for those who love to enjoy their meal in an aesthetically pleasing environment. But be warned, you might leave inspired and wanting give your living space a makeover!
This spot is the place to go to for a meal, your daily caffeine fix or some drinks in the evening. Their weekday lunch offer looks (and is) incredibly good but I especially enjoy their weekend breakfast menu since it allows me to have a slow, tasty start to the weekend with some pancakes, waffles or other goodness that they offer. Their lattes are also some of the best I’ve ever had.
The interior (and the exterior as well) is great. I could spend hours obsessing over the black clay plates, vintage chairs and wood details, not to mention the cool light bulbs. This is probably the reason why time seems to pass very quickly here. My husband said that this place looks like Pinterest, and I couldn’t agree more.
Another reason I love this cafe is that it is a trip down memory lane for me since the tennis courts that are located next to it are the ones where I began to play tennis when I was five, so I’m very happy that I can visit such a beautiful spot and reminisce about all those summers spent on the courts.
