It’s all about space and what you are filling it with. Restaurant Telpa was brought up in an ex-factory wrecked building, reshaping, redecorating and reinventing the premises to finally have a place for fellow citizens to hang out and have some quality food and drinks.
Telpa can be proud of its kitchen – led by a well known and top rated Latvian chef, Rihards Frīdenbergs Kalniņš. A quite unusual concept in the Riga restaurant area where brunch type meals are served most of the time, which is another thing I like, besides the local and ecologically grown ingredients used for dishes.
Another thing is the location – on the second floor of a building with a courtyard. Telpa has a great terrace – a handy thing for those long summer evenings. Which is also the best thing one can ever want for warm summer days – a terrace where one can catch a nice breeze and oversee the yard while enjoying a modern Latvian meal.
