Teātra Bāra restorāns (Theater Bar restaurant) is located in the courtyard of an actual theater called Jaunais Rīgas teātris (New Riga theater). It is a very quiet and calm place. No traffic noises bother its modern, artistic and stylish yet cozy atmosphere.

Guests here are mostly frequent custumers as well as actors from the theater having their meals or just some wine or dessert because the restaurant is well hidden from the street. On week days 11:00 – 16:00 a lunch special menu is served for 3.70 LVL. On weekends a breakfast menu is available all day.

In the summer season a lovely terrace is opened and I find it a real treat to have a seat there with a great view overlooking that nice backyard with flowers, actors and simply theatergoers making their way to the plays or back home.

Then again on some evenings, when I am in the mood to pamper my wife, I take her by the hand and we go straight to Theater Bar restaurant for the fantastic marzipan cake. So this is my smart advice, don’t waste your romantic mood on a casual everyday café make the best of it in this theatrical courtyard.
