Open Day, december 3rd! See u there!

PIANO CREATIVO is a multi-function space that host artist atelier. It represents a gathering point among various artists with the most different backgrounds who share the same need to enjoy a comfortable and welcoming place to work, play and host their clients and friends, whilst find inspiration in the amazing light that filters from the windows and the wide, nude space that seems to be just craving to be animated by performance, installations and visitors’ voices.

The artists of Piano Creativo are:

ENRICO BECERRA, STEFANO BOLCATO, SANDRO BONFORTI, SILVIA CODIGNOLA, FLAVIA DODICOSIMO GOMEZ, TERESA MEROLLA, SABRINA ORTOLANI, JACOPO PACEMICHEL PELLATON, LUIS SERRANO and MARCELLO TOMA.

The recently opened archistar Zaha Hadid project is a museum that takes the best of Rome in all its aspects, as it is (partially) a conversion of an old structure (an army base) and a new, visionary project by one of the most famous, acclaimed (and controversial) contemporary architect.

Like it or not, it brings with it all the power of modernity and development. A real big hit in a city that has to dig into its past to recall some modern architecture experiments. It is, most of all, the first museum ever in Italy entirely dedicated to contemporary art. Which makes it very, very popular! Displaying both its own collection + 3 very interesting temporary exhibitions, on the same premises you will also find the brand new restaurant. A larger bookshop and an hotel will follow soon.

So close to Piazza del Popolo and very well linked by either bus or tram to the most touristic spots in town, it’s definitely worth your visit and a relaxed break on the vast courtyard, perfect to exchange opinions and ideas with the an interesting crowd of architects, artists, students and art lovers.

On the premises you will also find an interesting design & book shop, a bar, a restaurant.

Lanificio is back on track and the season is getting hotter…no matter how cold is gonna be outside, this spot is a must see!

Exhibitions, performances, media, entertainment, creativity, shopping…there is always a good reason to pop up at Lanificio 159 and go a little outside of the city center. It may take you some time to get there (drop off at “B” metro line stop “Pietralata” and use the shuttle bus service or take a taxi for no more than 10 euro) but it will be worth it.

Lanificio 159 is, in fact, an “experience” in many senses. Starting from the location – a former industrial plant, overlooking the Aniene river (lovely terrace!) – to the many events that take place nearly daily, it definitely deserves a visit.

The DJ sets are among the best in town; “happy Sunday market” with the most interesting underground designer on the Roman scene (great shopping experience, if you know what I mean!); exhibitions and performances…there are even a media agency, a yoga school and a Dance Art Faculty on its premises!
