Le mani in pasta is a restaurant in Trastevere vecchio, the oldest part of Trastevere. Their menu is based on fish but the chef will easily prepare something different for you if you have special needs or if you don’t eat fish. By the way all the products are really fresh and tasty, and so is the fish.
The chef mixes the ingredients in a very harmonic and uncommon way. The strangest dish I’ve tried there is the gonrgonzola semifreddo. A dessert made with a very strong Italian cheese.
The location is quite small and it’s better to book in advance or to give a call before you go. The kitchen is in view, so you will see the chef cooking and you can easily interact with him. He is really friendly and so are the waiters.
They have a smoking room, not so easy to find in a restaurant, so if you are a smoker there is a plus. But be careful of the price, it’s quite expensive!
