Sometimes I don’t want to be online, but just want to sit in a cosy corner, far away from the maddening crowd, my nose hidden in a book. If you want this too, Adem Inn is just the place. No Wi-Fi, no music, just quietness, some books you can read, and slow coffee and tea.
I must say I do prefer a fast and strong coffee like an espresso, but Adem Inn is a really nice place. You don’t have to be silent or whisper, you can come in for a chit-chat too.
Most of the places around the Hoogstraat are filled with hipsters working on laptops and this place is really different. It invites you to stop working for awhile and take a little rest. Grab a book or bring your own, or go in for some real live conversation instead of the online communication with your Facebook friends.
(They do have a Facebook page though.)
