Ballroom is often the place where I end up when hitting Witte de Withstraat.
It has a nice vibe and attracts a good mix of ‘creative’ people. The place looks awesome and they serve over 100 different Gins – which makes it a great Gin&Tonic bar.
It’s a delightful bar-food – style restaurant. Share their famous ball plate – if you like finger food. That’s what I do with my friends. Expect small meat, fish and veggie bites as bar food. Italian-style tasty mains and daily desserts. From €12.50 for a main dish.
As gin is the thing here, you can choose any type of Gin from around the world, stylishly served in a glass full of ice and topped with the best tonics. Or try Pinkyrose – the first fresh handmade syrup from Rotterdam.
With nice weather, I enjoy sitting at their street terrace in the front – as it’s a good spot for people spotting or their Rosé garden in the back (a garden is unique in this street).
The contemporary interior is designed by a young creative architect firm ‘Instability.We.Trust‘ Rotterdam (iwt) and is full of clever ideas like a vertical wall-garden to create an inside-outside feel. [IWT is now building a new block – next to Erasmusbridge].
Every Friday and Saturday their resident DJs play funky, soul and groovy tunes to celebrate your weekend! Just follow their Facebook-page for the latest news and events.
