In the Low Countries, beer is like pudding in England. Saying that you “like beer” just doesn’t narrow it down. In addition to a multitude of “usual” beers (think Heineken), there’s an infinite variety of “speciaal bier“. There’s a beer for every kind of mood, weather, venue and person. Personally, I suit my beer drinking to the weather. I prefer to drink wheat beer in the spring, pale lager in the summer, fruity Bock in the autumn and strong and dark winter specials in the cold months.
I won’t say Bier&zO has them all, but they have a lot – more than 600. This is not a typo – 600 types of beer! Blond beers, dark beers, strong beers, cherry beers, any kind of beer – Bier&zO has it. Shopping usually doesn’t excite me much, but this is the kind of shop that makes me happy. In some countries, when you go on a visit, you bring a bottle of wine. If you visit me – take a “speciaal bier”. Cheers!
