Spring is in the air. Let’s let “De IJssalon improve our life with their daily fresh home made ice cream”. It’s so yummy.
De IJssalon’s ice creams are all delicious, pure and honest. They have more than thirty different flavors, made of only natural ingredients! You will find original flavors here like Stroopwafel, Snickers, Almond Crunch, Oreo Cookies or Grandma’s apple pie. Some flavors have not yet been copied by others. Currently my favorite is the fresh Mint ice cream (mix of cream and water) with whipped cream on top.
The shopfront is open. The interior is modern, with a Mosaic wall of stylish flowers in pale colors on one side and a espresso bar on the other side.
In the back is a semi-open kitchen where you can see how the Dutch price winning ice maker Robin Alting and his staff make fresh ice cream.
Experience quality and meet the locals while eating your ice cream in or outside.

Weather is changing, so I’ll check with the owner till when the Ijssalon is open for the public.
We visited from the States during middle week of Sept09 and made a stop by after reading about this place from this site. We hail from the New England area (namely Boston) known for its own share of ice cream and have tried a lot. To comment, the two of us who ordered the ice cream thought it was really up there with the best, and the third friend who tried the sorbet said the same. Thanks for posting this!
I would like to add that De IJssalon also sells sorbet ice cream. So even if you have a cow milk allergy, you can enjoy their icecream. Just tell them that you have an allergy and they will tell you which flavours you can pick.
