John Dane, a man with only one hand, is the owner of the place. When we wanted to swap the second hand showcases we bought some years earlier for some chairs, that was alright. When I needed an alarm clock for a play I was directing, I could just borrow it.
I don’t know where he gets all his stuff but every now and then I have to walk in and look around. The merchandise is not always high class but that doesn’t matter. A little while ago J’Oost was added to the Garage, a spot where you can sit and have a coffee, a piece of pastry or a sandwich. So when you are tired of shopping you can have a bite too. Another addition and an improvement is the wall between the café and the shop. Because of this it is less cold inside.
